Electric Umbrella

The children and staff were entertained through songs and music during Electric Umbrella's visit. The energy they brought uplifted all of us and the children got to join in with the songs.  We all learnt how to sign along to their song ‘Try Smiling’ and they showed us how smiling was a superpower that can make everyone we meet happy.

Phonic Screening

The children were fantastic sounding out and blending the alien and real words in this year’s phonic screening. The results are looking promising, and we are just waiting for the pass mark to be announced later this month.

It was great to see how Little Wandle has given the children confidence and strategies to help decode unfamiliar words.  Results will be sent out with the reports on Friday 11 July.

Celebrating Love Day

On Tuesday 17 June, we are going to be exploring love and talking about all the different relationships we have and share the idea of loving anyone and being yourself. The children will be looking at the idea that we are all special and we have lots of different people in our lives that we love.  We will also focus on our vision ‘flourishing in learning and love’ to find out what it means to them.

Bubble Rush- Victoria Bubble Bee Team

The staff have been limbering up and dusting off the LYCRA for their 5K run on Sunday.  We hope to see you there to cheer us along and it isn't too late to donate to St Francis Hospice at our Just Giving page which you can go to by clicking here.
