We value Art as an important part of the children’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum. Art provides the children with the opportunities to develop and extend skills with a platform to express their individual interests, thoughts and ideas.

Our offering to children aims to be broad and rich, contemporary and diverse. By keeping our understanding of all discipline areas (drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture etc) as open as possible we ensure that we keep art as inclusive and accessible to every child.

Art is taught at Victoria, following a progression of learning from early years and throughout KS1. There is a focus on different artists, styles and media to ensure a varied programme of creativity that enables maximum engagement from the children in the skills and art disciplines they are taught.
