Kindness Funding Grant

On a kindness note, we are very excited in having been awarded £150 grant from the Kindness fund. This was down to the hard work of one of our Kindness Ambassadors, Leo.  We wrote a bid together, to get funding for a Kindness Stop and hi-vis jackets for our Kindness Ambassadors so the children on the playground could see who they were.  On Wednesday I received this email which was brilliant news.

Hello Lisa and Leo,

Thank you so much for submitting an application to our Kindness Fund. I have some good news.
We LOVE your idea Leo and would be delighted to grant the £150 that you need. Well done for coming up with such brilliant ideas, I’m sure it will make a big difference in your school.

Santa Fun Run

Sunday saw Victoria's first ever Santa Fun Run - and what a brilliant burst of festive fun it was! Eighty‑five children took part, kicking things off with a lively warm up led by Santa before dashing around Butts Meadow and proudly collecting their medals. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to run or to support. An extra‑special shout‑out to Santa (Jake Cuddihy), Ollie Couldridge for the spectacular balloon arch, and our wonderful marshalls who kept the course merry and bright. Together, you helped raise an amazing £350 for the school — thank you!

Christmas Tree Collection Service

What happens to your Christmas tree once the festivities are over? If you have a real tree, local Scout Groups are offering a collection service for the 17th year running! For a suggested voluntary donation of £6 per tree, they will pick it up on Sunday, January 4, 2026 (or Saturday, January 3, for the Hall Park area), and take it to the Dacorum Council shredder. The wood chippings are then used in local parks and roundabouts across Dacorum. All funds raised will go to support local Scout charities.

You can book and pay for your tree collection online by 11 pm on January 2, or visit the Scouts’ Christmas tree market stall next to Tesco in Berkhamsted between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm on Saturday, January 3.
