More (and final) Baby News…
Mrs Stiles had a beautiful baby girl, Harper who was born on Tuesday. Harper was fashionably late arriving a week and a half after the due date. We cannot wait to have all the newborn babies coming to visit soon.
Nursery Trip to Wendover Woods
I had the pleasure of going on the Nursery trip on Thursday. The theme was going on a Bear Hunt and the children got to take part in lots of different activities around bears, exploring the woods and den building. It was a bit chilly but this did not stop the children from having lots of fun, especially creating their own animal hunt story where they used natural materials they had collected to tell their own version of the Bear Hunt story. They were brilliantly behaved and engaged fully with all the activities.
Thank you to the parent volunteers and staff who went on the trip, I hope you all managed to get warm when you got home.
Oracy Homework Conversation Starters
This week the oracy task to discuss is:
What three things would you take to a deserted island?
Use these sentence starters to help:
- I would take.... because....
- I think this because...
- In my opinion...

Our upcoming events:
-
Big Outdoor Clean Up – Saturday 14th March (10am–2pm)
Join us for a big outdoor tidy-up at school! Jobs will include jet washing, weeding, general tidying and more. Whether you can spare an hour or stay for the whole session, bring the kids along and get stuck in — the more helpers the better. The weather is looking dry and sunny, which is a bonus! As a thank you, all volunteers will be rewarded with a well-earned hot dog. If you’re able to help, please join the WhatsApp group using the link shared by your class rep. -
Bingo Night – Friday 20th March
Eyes down for a fun-filled evening! It’s always a great night with plenty of laughs and chances to win. Tickets are available online now.
-
Big Allotment Clean Up – Sunday 22nd March (10am–2pm)
Help us get the school allotment ready for the growing season ahead. Come along for the morning or just drop in if you have some time to spare. If you’d like to be involved with the allotment longer-term (not just for the big tidy-up), please join the WhatsApp group using the link shared by your class rep.
-
Easter Trail - Easter holidays
We’re planning an Easter trail around town with clues in the form of riddles. It’s a great way to get out, explore and enjoy some family fun - with a prize waiting at the end! Trail sheets will be available to buy online soon - they can be printed at home or collected from the school office.
