Kindness Ambassadors- Save the Date Fundraising Event
The Kindness Ambassadors had a visit from a member of the community outreach team at St Francis Hospice, as they are doing a 50KM trek across the Sahara. Our ambassadors wanted to help raise money for the hospice and had the fantastic idea for a PJ and bed head day on Friday 22 May. They are going to create posters which we will send out shortly with all the details.

Booknic and Book Swap -Friday 8 May
With May being National Share a Story Month, we would like to invite our families to a 'Booknic'. The idea is come along with a blanket as well as a couple of books so we can come together to share stories. The VSA have kindly offered to provide refreshments to help fund new books for the classrooms.
We also will be holding a book swap, as this was so successful last year. If you have any books (for all ages) you want to bring in to swap, please bring them along by Thursday 7 May. On Friday 8 May in the morning and after school, the books will be out for children to pick one. We look forward to seeing you and if the weather is not great, we will set up in the hall.

Oracy Homework Conversation Starters
This week the oracy task to discuss is:
What makes you, you?
Use these sentence starters to help:
- What makes me is... because....
- I think...
- In my opinion...
Encourage your child to turn and face you to talk and use a clear voice when talking. A fun way to help with turn taking when talking, is to have an object that you hold and you can only talk when you have the object in your hand.
