Thank you from The Hospice of St Francis
The Kindness Ambassadors raised over £200 for the 'Sahara Stars' and they sent us a message:
Hi,
Just wanted to say a big thank you for organising the PJ Day last week in aid of our Trek Sahara challenge for the Hospice of St Francis.
Please pass on my thanks to the Kindness Ambassadors 🤩
I will be in touch after the Trek to arrange a date for us to come and do an assembly for you. It will probably be in the new year (2027).
Staff Leavers
Mrs Morris will be leaving Victoria to take up an exciting new role as Matron at Chesham Grammar School. This position brings together her nursing expertise and school experience, allowing her to continue supporting pupils in a new way.
Although this opportunity has come about quite quickly, Mrs Morris's last day will be Wednesday 17 June. I’m sure you will all join me in thanking her for her contribution and wishing her every success in her new role. It is sad to see Mrs Morris leave and will miss her greatly, especially the support given to all the children over the years.
Mrs Neuss will also be leaving us as her maternity cover comes to an end, with her final day on Wednesday 24 June. We are very sorry to say goodbye.
Since joining Victoria in September 2024, Mrs Neuss has taught across Key Stage 1 and has most recently been working with Cedar class, where she has built strong relationships with the children and staff.
We would like to thank Mrs Neuss for her hard work and dedication during her time with us, and we wish her all the very best for the future.
YR2 Sports Morning at TC
Unfortunately with the British weather being unpredictable, we had to postpone our visit to TC. We have now confirmed the new date will be Tuesday 16 June and we are hoping for better weather this time.
After School Club
On Friday's for the rest of Summer term, the children at ASC will be having a picnic style tea. This will include a wrap, crisps, crudities and a biscuit.
From September 2026, an ASC session will be £18.00. We have also changed our terms and conditions and you will now require to have available funds on your account to make a booking. We appreciate that Arbor isn't always the most user friendly and the first term might take some getting used to, however we hope that 3 months notice will help you to plan for this. Please see our updated September 2026 info on our website.

Oracy Homework Conversation Starters
This week the oracy task to discuss is:
How many bricks make a wall?
Use these sentence starters to help:
-
I think...
-
In my opinion...
Encourage your child to turn and face you to talk and use a clear voice when talking. A fun way to help with turn taking when talking, is to have an object that you hold and you can only talk when you have the object in your hand.
