Message from the Head of School

As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. Together, we have enjoyed a year full of learning and memorable experiences.
This year, we have been guided by our vision of "Flourishing in Learning and Love" and our Christian values of Kindness, Resilience, Respect and Thankfulness. Throughout the year, our children have demonstrated these values in many ways, showing kindness to others, resilience in their learning and pride in being part of the Victoria family.
One of our proudest achievements this year has been the fantastic outcome of our Ofsted inspection in May 2026. The report recognised the dedication of our staff, governors, pupils and families, and celebrated Victoria as a place where children flourish. This achievement belongs to our whole community and reflects the hard work and commitment shown every day across the school.
There have been many exciting developments throughout the year. We introduced The Castle Way, strengthening our children's sense of belonging and helping them take responsibility for making Victoria an even better place to learn and grow. We also celebrated the National Year of Reading with a range of activities designed to deepen children's love of books and promote reading across our school community.
Our commitment to nurturing the whole child has continued to flourish. Through collective worship, reflection activities and the exploring the Parable of the Mustard Seed, children have reflected on how small actions can grow into something significant.
We have also had opportunities for pupil leadership as part of our Agents of Change. Our Green Guardians, Spiritual Ambassadors, School Council and Kindness Ambassadors have made a real difference, helping us work towards greater sustainability, raising money for local charitable causes and spreading kindness.
The children's learning this year has been enriched through exciting events and experiences. Highlights have included author visits, environmental projects, sporting opportunities, creative arts activities and collaborative learning across the school. We have continued to celebrate children's achievements through our "Watch Us Grow" board recognising those who go above and beyond in their learning and in living out our school values.
I would like to thank our dedicated staff team for their unwavering commitment to the children. This year we have welcomed new colleagues, supported staff on maternity leave and, sadly, said goodbye to valued members of our team who are moving on to new opportunities. We thank them for everything they have contributed to Victoria and wish them every success in the future.
To our Year 2 children, as you prepare to move on to junior school, we are incredibly proud of all you have achieved. You leave Victoria with strong foundations, wonderful memories and the confidence to take on new challenges. We know you will continue to flourish.
Finally, thank you to our families, volunteers, governors and the Victoria School Association. Your support, fundraising, attendance at events and encouragement enrich school life and help make Victoria such a special place for our children.
I hope you all enjoy a happy, restful and safe summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming our returning pupils back on Thursday 3rd September and beginning another exciting year together.
