Wraparound Care - Nursery

Victoria Church of England Infant and Nursery School is delighted to welcome children to Foundation Stage 1 (Nursery).

By accepting a Nursery place for your child, the school is pleased to offer you the facility of extended Nursery provision.

The Nursery sessions operate as follows:

Morning Sessions - 8:30am-11:30am -  Free Provision 

Lunch Club - 11:30am-12:30pm - optional  (packed lunch to be provided by parent)

Afternoon Sessions - 12:30pm-3:00pm - optional

Our core offer is 5 mornings (15 hours) which is free to all families. Some parents will be entitled to up to 30 hours of free provision with the option of paying for additional hours at £7.25 per hour.

Whilst it is beneficial for all children to attend every day with the core offer, we are happy to be flexible with your requirements.

The Nursery Lunch Club and afternoon sessions are run by our fully qualified Early Years Practitioner.  Nursery have their own purpose built classroom and playground on site.

Once an offer of a place at the nursery has been accepted, parents will be sent an application pack on which they detail their session requirements, including any interest in After School Club.  Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Ad Hoc bookings are bookable subject to availability.

Wrap Around Care

We are delighted to offer our Nursery families the same wrap around care provision available throughout the rest of the school. Full information regarding are wrap around offer can be found here.

Breakfast Club -7.30am-8.30am- £8.50 per session (healthy breakfast included)

After School Club - 3:00pm-6:00pm - £17 per child per day - (meal provided by school)

30 Hours Free Childcare

At Victoria School parents/carers who are entitled to 30 hours free childcare and require all day, every day or specific days will be accommodated.  Please note, however, that these sessions can only be changed termly.  

30 hours free childcare equates to the following:

At Victoria, 30 hours free childcare at Victoria equates to: every morning until 11:30am, four days until 3:00pm and the fifth day until 12:30. You can pay for one afternoon.

To qualify for 30 hours free childcare you, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage).  If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or having caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.  You cannot get 30 hours free childcare if either you or your partner each individually expect to earn £100,000 or more.

The government website Childcare Choices www.childcarechoices.gov.uk allows parents to sign up and check their eligibility for the scheme.
